Rachael Horovitz grew up in Greenwich Village where she lives today with her own family. The name of this blog is also the name of her late mother’s clothing store which was located on West 10th St. for most of the 1970’s.  Doris thought the store – opened not long after her husband left her with three young kids -would be a source of income.  In reality, it was the antithesis of a business enterprise but, rather, the apotheosis of creativity, community and cool.
